Any likeness to real life facilities or animals is purely coincidental, and Impulsion assumes no responsibility for the actions of its users. Certain events held within the game may closely resemble or share the same premise as their real life counterparts, and are designed to promote realism. All related websites are clearly distinguished as part of a simulated game.

Impulsion Sim is a not-for-profit organization. All donations go directly to hosting costs and other fees incurred in the running of the game.

What is a "simulated" game?

A simulated game is an online club in which players take ownership of pretend animals and imitate their care based on real life practices and values. Players are required to take their animals to the veterinarian and farrier, purchase feed and tack, and demonstrate proper animal care. Simulated games provide an avenue for individuals to live out their real life dreams, regardless of their location or experience. Simulated games are also a fun way to learn about animals, animal care, pedigrees & bloodlines, and showing. Simulated games also promote education about web and graphic design and help animal lovers connect with individuals throughout the world who share their interests. All animals, currency, facilities, goods and events are completely fake.

Use of Photography

Players in many simulations are encouraged to make use of photography to depict their simulated animals and establishments. Impulsion Sim insists that every effort be made to contact the photographer, owner or publisher of any image and obtain permission in order to use the image and that credit be given for any image used within the confine of the game. Unfortunately, some members may choose to disregard this policy. In this case, owners of photography are encouraged to contact the individual directly if they find their work being used without permission and/or adequate credit.

Impulsion firmly prohibits the hotlinking of images.

Real Life Animals

Players are not permitted to the names of animals that exists in real life, except in the case of personally owned animals. Players are allowed to include real life animals in the pedigrees of their simulated animals. Using real life animals in a pedigree makes it more realistic and prompts players to educate themselves. If you see a animal that shares the same name as a real animal, please contact administration@impulsion-sim.com.
